Same logic as the last one for why both sides will not like it. Wings fans loving bert and wanting more value and Calgary fans seeing this as a premium

Unless Coronato doesn’t want to sign or play on CGY, I don’t think the Flames will or should Trade him.

Based on our Cap & Cup Contending Situation it would be nice to have as many good producing ELC’s on the Roster as possible.

I think it’s a balance. I don’t think Calgary’s window is going to be open too long and they may value competing now over having a good player ready for competition down the line in 3-4 years when huby and co are declining.

It’s a tricky situation to time properly and it all depends on perceived timelines. Coronato may be ready to make the jump soon but he’s probably years off being a true impact player.

With that being said bert is a very known commodity at this point. We all know what he is, what his strengths are, and if Calgary is looking like they have a real shot at deadline (I know you guys had a bad streak there) then often that is what gets prioritized, especially with how short cup windows are nowadays.

Man I love Bert but I think he's as good as gone so sure I'd gladly take that. I loved Coronato in his draft year and I still think he's gonna be a real good player.
