Walker ask will be a 2nd, I think they'll go for a 3rd. They have Clarke and Spence to take his place, so the ask won't be much and he's cost controlled until next season.

Gavrikov would cost you a second, maybe a first, depending on the situation.

Kerfoot was only meant to be just an example but Columbus and Washington needs more help down the middle and he could be an option. Arizona could aquire him, play him up in the line up and the flip him at the deadline

Kerf's got a 10-team NTC and I can all but guarantee the Coyotes are on it. He ain't waiving to go play out his contract in the desert, and I can't see Arizona being super interested in being the ones responsible for extracting the value out of Kerfoot at the deadline.

I'd add WPG as likely team on his list too, so all these Kerfoot to WPG posts should probably stop.

Columbus probably wants at least a 2nd for Gavrikov, hoping a bidding war starts and they get a late first (like Chiarot got last deadline) if they retain half of his contract.

Honestly Kerfoot has no value to Columbus, don’t font just need help down the middle, they need a 1c and Kerfoot isn’t that. Jenner, Sillinger and Karuly are all good 2-4 centers so there’s no need for Kerfoot.

The rough part is, there has to be at least one contract going the other way - the leafs are at the 50 contract maximum. There's probably a move or two already scheduled out for the TDL to upgrade at LW (or even just sign Knies).

I think we're going to see no moves until January, depending on how much Sandin and Liljegren develop with the increased minutes. Hopefully Brodie's back soon.

Gavrikov is probably the best available LHD on the market he’s getting a first. Jensen might too

Jensen most likely would get a 1st or 2nd and a B+ prospect. He is a top 4 RHD with a fantastic contract (Caps could retain as well if needed), having a great year so far (on a pretty bad team), and is probably one of the best puck moving RHD projected to be available at the TDL.

And Kerfoot does nothing for Washington. If a trade was involving Kerfoot and Wsh, Tor would have to pay Wsh to take him. Nothing against the player specifically, but he is a) certainly not a need for Wsh and b) having a pretty rough year

Yeah, Columbus has bottom 6 centers in spades, as every center in the org currently playing center is a bottom 6 center. They need an actual top 6 center, and Kerfoot is not that. Gavrikov is the likely top D available at the deadline because of the combination of contract (with retention) and ability to eat minutes an lay the body. It starts with a first if you don't want to be outbid, and there are plenty of other teams looking to add that exact profile.

No "maybe" about it.
