Nope, and why would Toronto add a pick? 1 for 1 50% retained and Toronto still probably passes.

Don't know why CF just make up trades and attribute them to rumours. Leafs have no desire to pay a 4m premium for Myers over Holl, and certainly no desire have a 6m Myers next year.

Don't see Toronto taking on Myers at full value for 2 years, Allvin would need to retain 50% on him.

Only if they went with a 20 man roster. There would have to be some retention on Myers.

The one trade I would explore in Van is a Garland + Schenn trade

Myers is just Holl but costs more and has another year no thanks is what I say

Myers has a bit more value. But at 50% retained he still costs more than Holl.

Garland is small. That is correct, however despite his size, he is not that weak. He is also a good player. Struggling a bit this year but was one of the best 5v5 point producers in the league last season

Trading for a rental even one as good as Horvat makes 0 sense and not something we should go for this year. Unless its Kane, go get a guy with term who can get you 20 goals and be on the team for a few years. Fully believe on a new team Garland will get his mojo back as it seems Van's regression be hitting him

And thats why I want him besides the contract I feel his playstyle just fits what we are doing in the top 6 and when Bunting leaves and signs with the Oilers he can play up there

Leafs don't need someone with term. They need to load up. What they don't need a is zero impact player like garland.

He is ultra weak. Zero impact player. Would rather play malgin.

mmm i disagree if Leafs say lose and Horvat or Kane walk then all those assets mean nothing. If they lose and Garland is still a member and was able to contribute in the playoffs despite the loss u then got someone u can build around. Like what Tampa did with Goodrow, Coleman, and Hagel leafs should be looking for guys with term who can make an impact for multiple years and that guy to me is Garland

If they lose and garland is still on the team it is a double loss. If horvat or Kane is in the team they don't lose. Simple as that.

We cant predict that. If lets say Tampa beats Toronto again in 7 and we spent a 1st + Niemela and other assets for Kane or Horvat and they walk then what. Its basically a great we just wasted more assets for a rental. Would rather go get a guy where yes we spend assets on but who can contribute for multiple years. A guy like Garland can do that and his contract for what he does is pretty good. As with Matthew or Tavares probs 25+ goal scorer

We don't need to predict it. Dubas gets garbage at TDL leafs lose. How many years in a row does that need to happen? garland is an expensive malgin that can't hit as well.
