The worst kept secret last year was that the Rangers really struggled 5 on 5. This year it seems to be worse, somehow. Even if this is only temporary, the team needs a jolt to get some confidence back. Let's load up the top two lines to get some offense.

1st line: self explanatory. Loaded up and ready to fire. They are on the ice for every offensive situation. Maybe keep Zibanejad and Kreider off the PK a bit so they can get more offense time.

2nd line: yeah yeah, Chytil wants to be center. Too bad. He's been really good 5 on 5 I think, and deserves 2nd line minutes over Laffy right now. I think Trocheck can help convert some of the chances Chytil and Kakko create.

3rd line: This is a checking line. Start in defensive areas and get it to the O zone. Laffy is playing a really good checking game right now I think, and has offensive talent hidden in him somewhere. For now, he plays his strength for the betterment of the team. Blais will rotate with Kravstov and Gauthier depending on injuries and who is hot.

4th line: more defensive zone, more energy. Focus is on getting to the O zone for the top 2 lines. Bigger emphasis on PK to keep them reseted as well.

D pairings: I think they are all fine and as good as it gets right now. I wouldn't split them up besides swapping Hajek and Jones as needed.
