for a PPG player? on a 3 year deal? Lol I shouldve never logged back on too many people thinking bending teams over backwards is a fair deal lmfaooooo

just using the comps you brought to the table yourself, man, i don't know what to tell you.

Buch is a good forward but he's not at the level of Tkachuk or Debrincat so those are kind of bad comps - Cat is a multi-time 40 goal scorer, Tkachuk was traded coming off a 42-62-104 season. I don't think anyone would disagree that they're at a different level than Buchnevich.

Fiala is probably the best comp for Buch - coming off a slightly better than PPG season, and with similar production in the 2 years before the trade (Fiala had 125 pts in 132 GP, Buch has 130 pts in 137 GP going back to the beginning of 2020-21). Fiala got 19th OA & Brock Faber, OP is offering Bolduc/Dufour/pair of 2nds. I'd argue you should switch the picks to a 2024 1st to get closer to the Fiala value, but that's really it.

Acting like this package is "insulting" or whatever when there's a very recent comp for a similarly producing player that this offer gets close to is what I'd call "being something else"

No need to overreact. This package isn’t far off if the blues decided to trade Bucnevich

no need to overreact excuse my language this is the most r*tarded ACGM i've seen in my entire 4 years of being here. At least for someone trying to be serious this by far takes the cake. DeBrincat got 2 more points than Buch in 9 extra games. And you wanna say Buch is worth spare parts. lol "No need to overreact" you aren't even thinking this through on the Blues side. just wanna f*ck them over and leave.

Debrincat is a sniper with multiple 40 G seasons, please stop comparing them lol. And Debrincat return was terrible for the Hawks, which shows how bad the market for wingers is

yeah because Minnesota wasn't able to get him a 7 million dollar contract they were forced to. He's outproducing a 5.5 million contract Fiala is making more. Which makes him worth more. for multiple reasons no they aren't forced to get rid of him. 2 he's on cheaper term than Fiala. His trade was solely based on cap issues not because they wanted to. So they lost leverage. Situational understanding would help you a lot in learning.

"he was traded for cap issues"

"he was a brand new GM"

seems like you have a lot of reasons why the trade comps (that, again *you* brought into the conversation) are actually outliers and why they wouldn't apply in this case

not quite. what did tkachuk get? Debrincat? Fiala? Rakell? Lehkonen? Market for a cheaper winger is not what you say it is and while yes market for a center can be very much a more value spot. Barzal played the same amount of games and had a dozen less points so as of last year production wise Buch making less was consider more valuable. Try again to "inflict market stats to try and justify bending Stl over. not going to work.

Fr bruh cat who is a 2 time 40 goal scorer and a 3 rd season where he was on pace for over 50 got 7, 39, and a future 3rd. He is way better than buch. Fiala got 19 and a solid D prospect. Bringing tkachuk in is insane bc he’s obviously valued differently bc of his skill set. He was traded for a better winger, top pair dman and a 1st. Rakell and lehky shouldn’t be in this conversation at all.

again 2 spare part prospects and 2 random spare part 2nds is WORTH LESS THAN 19 and a Prospect who's actually good.

this guy really knows what he's talking about, a guy who's projected as middle pair LD and a guy who projects as an offensive minded LW3 are just "spare parts"

Blues fans overvalue their players more than anyone else on these site. Don’t even try to reason with them
