I'm not sure it's just goaltending, but the goaltending is definitely looking soft even when seeing limited shots on goal. My guess it's one of if not a mix of a few things.
1. The new system offensively has been great at upping offensive production, but has taken the team out of position a lot of times, I think we might need to have our centers not drive the puck nearly as much and provide defense through the neutral zone. The Kings are allowing 3.5 goals allowed per game, contrast that with 2.79 goals allowed per game. We had 2.84 goals per game last season, and this season it's 3.33 goals per game. The point is our goals per needs to be above that goals allowed or this team is not going to be playoff bound long-term.
2. Matt Roy and Alex Edler were much more successful at maintaining defense than Durzi and Roy have been. Each of Durzi, Clarke, and Walker look like they are set for the 3RD role and none of them look like they should be our 2LD. The Kings need someone who makes Matt Roy look like the best shut down player but can also score goals like Durzi, no idea what player can address that.
3. The team is near the bottom in terms of PK at 74.6% special teams look really bad at times
