Lets say they go to the finals and win like what we saw with Savard they wont care

Sure its another guy gone but they still got Duke, Finley and Edmonds in their system

In general teams like Tampa want to win now and worry later so guys like Howard are basically trade chips and if a guy like Kuzmenko can be added at the cost of him go for it. As I feel he would do very well in Tampa's top 6.

I agree to an extent, I just feel like Tampa for the most part trades for guys with term.

Sometimes, if not they try and extend. They did trade then extend Paul. I feel with the cap crunch they will face with the Cirelli and Sergechev extensions they gonna go get a rental and Kuzmenko on his ELC type deal is a nice option.

TDL darkhorse steal candidate

As while teams bid for Horvat, Kane, Meier someone could just walk in and make a quiet nice trade for him

But yeah Kuzmenko, Horvat, Garland gonna get nice returns

Allvein gonna have a nice stockpile of picks for 2023

Canucks have won 5 of 6 in an effort to save their season before it's too late. Maybe they end up holding on to their pending free agents at the TDL?? Long way to go.

I feel hes gonna go in a similar deal to what Lehkonen went for

A 1st round prospect and a 2nd

So if I use my Tampa example Howard + 2nd which honestly aint bad. As their 1st is probs gonna be the exact same as where he was drafted lul

Lehkonen isn't a close comparable. He was a pending RFA, not UFA, but Kuzmenko is also producing at a significantly better rate

I mean u should hold till the TDL anyways. As teams are more willing to overpay

Kuzmenko, Schenn, Horvat and if they decide to Garland should get nice returns

Allvein by the end of the deadline will have a nice stockpile of picks for 2023

But if we look lets say u get Tampa's 1st its gonna be 30-32

Howard was drafted 31 OA last year and u get a 2nd. So in a sense you get more than if u just get the 1st.

Like MTL could have got a 1st for Lehkonen but instead they got a 1st round prospect in Barron and a 2nd not bad.

I don't think Tampa even has their first. Doubt they would be a front-runner for Kuzmenko. If they do propose Howard and a second, it would be a good deal though

Would be a hard deal to beat unless someone else goes heres a guy who was drafted higher. It will be interesting to see what they can get as to me maybe selling high at the TDL is better than a 3-4mill extension

But yeah Tampa in general got to get creative as they got their 2024 2nd but no 1st till 2025. Howard is probs gonna be their trade chip like what we saw out of the Avs and Barron

Doubt Kuzmenko only gets 3-4 mil. I mean look at Kaprizov. Came in his rookie season at 25 and put up 51 points in 55 games and got himself a 9+ million dollar contract. Kuzmenko can easily price himself out of Vancouver

Probably but its also risky as like Zaitsev one good explosive year give him a lot of money then 6 years of pain. I would give Kuzmenko a show me and if he does it again get whatever he wants lul

But then again there might be someone who will give him a huge deal.

I would just trade him for as much as possible and let another team deal with the contract. Canucks have amazing offense but our defense is not an easy fix which means we won't be a true contender for a while. Might as well get as many 2023 picks and prospects

If all works out well by the end of the TDL could walk out with some nice D prospects, 1-2 1sts, some 2nds and 3rds and maybe a couple of useful depth NHL players who might fit in nicely.

Castonguay went on to say the allegations against her are “absolutely not true” and she will comment no further as this is a legal matter. The Canucks organization also released a statement of its own.

“We strongly disagree with the allegations brought forth by Ms. Doerrie,” their statement begins. “Our organization provided Ms. Doerrie with all the necessary resources, support, and opportunities to succeed in her role.” The Canucks also will provide no further comment.

Definitely an interesting case. Gonna be an uphill battle to prove these allegations against one of the highest ranking female executives in the NHL, especially after the organization closes ranks in her support. Gonna be especially difficult to prove discrimination for a disability when the organization was fully aware of the disability when the hiring took place. Castonguay may be untouchable here.

I'm with the Canucks organization on this one. Obviously not evidence has been shown, however Rachel Doerrie apparently had a rough ending with the Devils organization. Doesn't seem like she has the greatest reputation

Do the Canucks have the cap to take Bailey?

As I think they would need to make another move before adding 5mill

some interesting moves made tonight by the Oilers

-don't really understand why Yamamoto is getting put on the IR now since he hasn't played since Nov. 8

-Nooooo not Clouder, of course he gets injured after having a 3 point game, don't know who is gonna play 3C probably Nuge

-this is by far the best move, 23 year old Undrafted Edmonton born James Hamblin finally makes the show, he was the last cut in training camp and woodys nickname for him when he was playing for him on the Condors was "Mr. Do It Right" so he is obviously liked by the coaching staff. Such a great story even when he was at his lowest after not getting draft in each of his years of eligibly his mom Gina always told him to not give up on his dream of making the NHL and when she died of Cancer in 2019 it motivated him to play his best and then he got a AHL contract then he got his NHL contract March of last year.

-Tyler Benson played good in the preseason but doubt he plays at a level above replicable 4th line forward considering it has just been disappointment after disappointment with him
