Bratt might The Huberdeau contract. This guy is incredible
He's a pending RFA so the Devils will have options. If he scores 100 points they can always bridge him. But on a long term deal I think you're pretty close on the AAV.

Didnt they already bridge him I doubt he wants a second

He's an RFA with arb rights with 1 year to UFA. It's not worth it to do a 8 mill x 3, might as well just lock him up at 10-10.5 mill x 7-8 years. They have the cap space

I doubt so too. Personally, I would've locked him up last summer, but the devils wanted to mitigate their risk, having just signed a boatload of long term contracts. It wasn't a mistake to sign the 1-year deal. They know how good he is.

The risk might have just went up as if they lowball him he might be an OS target for a team looking for something
Either way lets see
Pasta's next deal might dictate what Bratt gets as he might go I want that deal (well unless its a family discount that is)
At this point, I'm honestly wondering how the Tarasenko trades on here just keep getting worse and more comically delusional. I really thought we'd reached the floor last week. Apparently there's a storm cellar basement 30 ft. below ground. And a dungeon below that. Below that is public parking.

The CAP is expected to increase next yr too.
Only two big NJ UFAs pending (about US$7.5Mil) could be freed up year end.
BUT
It's 27yr-old Wood & 28yr-old Severson!!
What do they do there?

Pasta and Bratt are not both $10mil-ish - sorry.
Stat's don't lie...

Bratt is probably $8M+ on an 8 year deal. Pasta is $10M+. My guess is that Severson will play out the year in NJ and then test the UFA market. He'll most likely play in a new city next season.
