I don't know if you'll get a lot of Rangers fans that love the deal and I don't think it makes a ton of sense for Calgary in terms of the fit. 3 first round picks in 2023 plus players, I don't think Calgary could say no to the value but Calgary doesn't have the pieces in place to make Kreider as effective as he is in New York.

Just breathe. It's not Edmonton, regular season success isn't everything. As long as he performs in the playoffs who really cares.

Hockey crazed? It's middle of the pack at best. Fans care, but through a losing streak of 7 games there were zero jersey's thrown on the ice, zero booing the team off the ice, look at the Lucic story about nearly retiring but continuing to play cause of the team and the city, listen to Kris Versteeg's multiple interviews about playing in Calgary over other locations because of the city, organization and fans. Huberdeau is a welcome addition, everyone is excited about it he's averaged well over 2 points per 60 over nearly the past decade, he's playing in a system he's never had to play in even back to junior. Calgary is a hockey market but doesn't have the Vancouver/Edmonton/Toronto/Montreal circus that goes along with it. Big part of why so many players stay here after their careers.
