Don't think that's close for Toews, especially with how he's playing this tear

I don’t even want Toews but even I’ll admit that package isn’t nearly enough

And it makes no sense, avs walking wounded so trade 2 guys on the current roster for 1?

Jonathan Toews is on pace for 63 points, There's no way the Hawks are retaining 50% on him for that kind of return. Compher has little value to Chicago the rest is merely bad.

In my head, I always assume these AGMs are done at the TDL, which hopefully we’d be more healthy by then.

Doing a trade where a roster players goes out and only one comes in doesn’t make any sense. Especially one where you are using LTIR and accruing no cap space. What happens when Landeskog and Helm are ready to come back?

That’s generally what I do too, but this one has Landeskog and Helm on LTIR because I would certainly hope those guys would be healthy by then. UNLESS of course Joe and CMF are playing galaxy brain accruing space then putting those guys on LTIR to add 2 big time adds then adding Landy ala Kucherov in an effort to improve on last years playoff record.🧐😂🤪🤣

Well Landy and Helm are on LTIR, yet Nuke is playing despite just going for surgery,
SO even this walking wounded line up needs another call up

Its just all over the map

What’s your current power rankings for 2C options at the TDL (should it come to that)?

I dont think they are available yet, no one comes to mind, just that its too early for the sellers to be determined
There are going to be teams who will have a C version of a Lehkonen available at the deadline that right now we didnt think we could.

All the current pending UFAs C, really dont want

Was thinking maybe Dylan Strome. WSH with their injuries might become surprise sellers at the TDL. Strome, like Lehkonen, would come with RFA status and a reasonable cap hit for next season

thats more the line of Thinking for the 2C that I would like to see and do see the Avs poking around in. Another guy that has an outside chance is Chytil with the Rangers. Hes now their 3C and was rumoured to be available this summer via trade. I highly doubt that kind of target is available in season or the Rangers would do it, but im just using him as an example of that type of RFA that could be available/could be a cap casualty for a team that is under performing by the deadline

outside of the RFA realm of targets, the Adam Henriques, or the Yanni Gourdes of the league, thats who I can see them poke around on vs the pending UFAs

Strome is not a 2-way player. If you're looking for a PP passer/set up guy...he's actually very good at that, but if you're looking for a responsible defender...thats not Strome.

Looking for a big 2C with speed and offensive upside. Would be centering two very strong two way players in Landeskog and Nichuskin

Toews is playing really well. I'd argue he's been the Hawks best player. Not suggesting COL should go for him, but if this pace keeps up it'll require a 1st rounder. I'd say likely more, but his NMC kinda limits the "more".

He could play well between them, but he does not have speed at all. He's average...not slow, but not fast.

Landeskog is average speed, Nichuskin at full stride is sneaky fast. Strome would look good in between those guys

I'm sure you could get Domi for cheaper than Toews. Any interest there? He's also playing well and really picked up his face off game.

I like Domi, would depend on the asking price though. I’d value Strome more because of his RFA status meaning it wouldnt be a purely rental trade
