Ehhh, not really. VAN has been really hit or miss and their depth drafting has been awful. VAN being good at drafting is one of those things people say that doesn't really hold up

But 9th overall isn't depth drafting...

One thing our old management team wasn't terrible at was drafting good players

I think every team is very hit or miss when it comes to depth drafting. Vancouvers had a few decent mid or late round picks. Silovs, Rathbone, Hogs was a second rounder. Regardless, it’s a first round pick and VAN has been good with them for a while

And even hog (who i like fwiw) isn't amounting to anything important.

Go through your draft history and its full of absolutely nothing important

Demko, Boeser, Pettersson, Hughes, Podkolzin, Hoglander, Lekkerimakki. Every team has their fair share of busts. You're just trying to start an unecessary and immature argument. Sure we don't have elite 6th round pick gems but its not really expected that late round picks amount to anything

Hogs has struggled quite a bit but he’s still very high up their in his draft class stats. It will be interesting to see what happens with him though

Thats mostly because you have been trading your 1sts. Having said that Pod doesnt look so hot either so that might end up being a miss too. I hope not but he isn't doing great atm.

And youve gotten almost nothing from your depth picks to make up for it both in the beenning era and the Alvin era



I think Hogs can work out but not the way youre treating him in van. Even then he would be the exception and not the rule
