2023 VAN 1st and Mercer probably gets it done for Demko

I would try to get Nemec if I’m Van. Add a piece to Demko and take back Blackwood or vanecek

If they are trading Demko they should be trying to get multiple quality pieces, not adding to get one quality piece even if he ends up great.

Imagine if NJ asked for Demko+Boeser+2023 2nd for Nemec+Blackwood, I know a lot of Vancouver fans are done with Boeser but if he were to bounce back and Nemec is just a top 4 and not a top 2 then the trade will be so awful in hindsight. Or if the ask was Demko+Podkolzin for Nemec+Vanecek.


Mukhamadullin is a good RD prospect from what I hear, a 2023 1st should be able to get them a really good player even at 32 OV, so that's what the ask should be instead of a 2024 pick. I don't know much about the rest of the guys.

I would do that first trade in a heart beat. Probably do the 2nd one as well

No, I’m pretty confident he will regain form. But confidence in nemec is v high

It was 2024 pick since it would likely come after 2023 draft, but I suppose it come at 2023 draft (like Cory Schneider 10 years prior).

Hate to say it but there are no big names in that trade except for Demko. Just make it an unprotected 2023 first + Holtz or something, OR Nemec

that would be literally insane for a goalie. Trading your 2nd overall pick for a goalie is insane. Maybe an argument for Vasy or Sheshty, but even at that...

We wouldn’t really need the pick. And I don’t think Nemec is available. But there are plenty of other assets to chose from…picks, young RDs, goalie prospects.

If it were a #15-20 pick, and NJ gave VAN its choice to add any RD prospect not named Nemec, plus a goalie prospect, plus one of Blackwood or Vanacek, that would be a pretty aggressive offer, no?

None of whom you listed are BIG NAMES. They are B prospects. None of them have ELITE potential. Blackwood is made of glass and has been struggling for a couple years
