DeBrincat would be nice, but isn't worth anywhere close to that to Winnipeg with his QO.

Both, I'm guessing you don't mean to say that DeBrincat will bring back a package like that without something being added to him.
They won't be getting a RD (especially not Anderson)+a good prospect without adding a lot.

Its not as if DeBrincat is a top five goal scorer in the NHL with team control at 24 years old.

QFA offer is 9m, and pretty sure he hits FA after that. Andersson is a top defensive D in the league with a nice contract. Plus, Pionk + Perfetti are probably going to be more valuable to DeBrincat since it's 2 players vs 1 and they already have Ehlers and Connor who can score goals.

No the reason is cap related, if we sign him even for less than his QO, it will leave basically zero room for improving our defence. So if we can flip him for a top four D and a forward that would be ideal imo.

Jets can’t afford debrincat, they need a cheap big bad brad and perfetti to be cheap for a while to offset the future contracts on Dubois/scheifele/helly, and if they go a different direction, they might get them in a similar situation as chicago, and debrincat try’s free agency for sure when it comes. Not sure that they could replace pionk that easy either. But after saying all that would love debrincat lol

Would love playoffs this year, but would also get over it with a top 10 pick, there’s a few perfect options in top 12 ish to complete that line. Danielson from Brandon wheatkings would be a solid add.
