1) Severson will cost more, closer to $6.25, just due to rarity. I won't say it will be a good contract, buy UFAs rarely are.

2) Philly would be straight dumb to make that trade to then give the Devils that 1st in Severson trade as Philly could still be trash as they need to rebuild. Their analytics are baaahd and will not sustain this.

They are a dead cat bounce at best. Everyone had them bottom 5 in the league. Their analytics don't see this as sustainable. I'm not saying that's everything, good for them if they can keep it up, but a team so injured, so underskilled, should not be selling a 1st now.
