This deal assumes we sent you Klingberg 50% retained at or before the 22-23 TDL, we took back the 23 1st, 24 2nd, and Zaitsev as cap dump. Your defense seems great defensively, but Chabot and Sanderson are not spectacular as a PPQB pair (chabot is fine, Sanderson is meh). Your powerplay is currently humming along at around middle of the league, and you seem like you could start making some serious noise in the playoffs. Yes, you have Debrincat to resign next season, but with the recent rumors that the cap raises significantly, you can afford to resign Cat and Kling so long as you can get rid of Zaitsev's deal. Lets assume Kling takes 7.5, and the Cat takes 10 AAV. Kling can provide a serious PP boost, he can play major minutes, and will pair well with a defensive LD. This could very quickly turn Ottowa into a genuine monster for years to come.
San Jose, so help me god, if you say a 1st and THREE 2nds isn't enough for Meier, I don't know what is. I am only offering that much so you lot don't complain about how its not enough. Its 4 early picks for his RFA rights. Debrincat only got a 1st, a 2nd, and a 3rd, and he came with a year of a relatively budget contract.
To the Ducks fans. We go get Severson in FA, maybe a bit of a budget signing, but he gets to be a 1st pair D on an up and coming team. Between him and Zaitsev, we get to give Helleson and Moore (the good one) another year of seasoning, and we can bury Zaitsev, or buy him out if need be, and call one of those two up. Yes, we are scraping the cap this season, but we have Henrique, Silfverberg, and Zaitsev all falling off, dropping our cap hit back down.
I gave Z and Scary Terry reasonable extensions, and I bridged Jamie short term due to loosing this year, giving him an opportunity to come back and earn his pay in two seasons. As a backup option, we can always look at buying Silfverberg out for the cap, in case the signings are not enough.
If I’m Anaheim I’m honestly keeping Klingberg and trading Shattenkirk. As far as Meier, I think the Sharks probably ask for top prospects.
With the amount of offensive talent in our D system, I question keeping him long term, hence the deal. I think the sharks understand that admitting it's going to be a rebuild this season will take picks in a deep draft to try and rebuild their prospect system. But I'll drop two 2nds and add Tracey to get the deal done.

My expectation and hope would be like a 3-4 year. Could be a good extension depending on what Drysdale Zegras and McTavish ask for.
Its not enough to me. We can easily find a deal with a first and a prospect that is already really good. Why bank it on three seconds
You guys just traded down your first round pick to get two additional second round picks, so yeah, I believe that your GM would take three kicks at the can to replenish your prospect cabinet over a prospect.
But, if its what it takes to get the deal done, I can switch out two seconds and add Brayden Tracey.
If we wanted Klingberg, we would have given him a long-term extension last summer when nobody else would.
And we are not paying a premium on a rental, especially if we are missing the playoffs.
Ottawa declines.
You guys have a goal differential better than the next 5 teams in front of you, and watching Ottowa games so far this season, the team has largely looked good. I wouldn't be surprised to see you guys in the playoffs this year.
