Just something I wanted to try for fun. I am going to include guys that are injured but considered to be good assets by nature of being acquired through waivers (Byron) too. This is not just players who were claimed, but ones that are doing a good to great job at either breaking out/carving out a role or stepping up in place of injuries. Bastian was sort of cheating since they knew what they were getting lol! But I think NJD fans like him.
Stand outs for me are Florida turning Forsling into a good D-man and Mahura looking good this year too. Of course Montreal hitting on Byron and Pitlick being a good bottom 6 guy too. Ottawa with some good goalie work too. Flyers fans have liked Sedlak's game so far.
Honorable mentions: Brett Leason, Axel Jonsson-Fjallby, Dryden Hunt, Patrick Brown
I was surprised when Givani Smith passed through waivers. He's a 4th line plug but he's young, strong, hits, fights and sticks up for his teammate's. Plus he has a cheap contract.

smith is a really decent 12th to 13th guy he shouldve been picked up
Still don't get why the Jets waived Kovacevic, they still have Capobianco on the main roster FFS!
If there's one thing Maurice can do is get decent mileage out of depth dmen so if Florida claims some dmen Maurice should be able to get the most out of them.
