Gonna be near impossible to get Bouchard and Skinner at those numbers for sure

Do you think that Vladar is a 700K better goalie than Skinner?

Unless JP turns it around my guess is that is dumped for a 4th or 5th this year.
Next summer JP likely doesn't get qualified based on EDMs cap situation.

I'm a JP fan but the writing is on the wall with the player imo

Would imagine that Pulji gets flipped for a grindy bottom 6 RW to play with Foegele and Mcleod.

Please see the million other threads where I have posted why Barrie is not a fit for Montreal. He doesn't play physical enough and is too old to fit our cup window.

Yzerman will re-sign Sunny. Plenty of cap space and he loves being a Red Wing.

I haven't been able to watch as many Oilers games this season, but what happened to the guy?

Honestly, he's missing that finishing threat and the Oilers depth has pushed him down to the 3rd line.
I'd love to keep him even if he never adds that scoring threat but @ $3M there just doesn't appear to be a long term fit in EDM.

And with Bourgault in the minors this season and likely making the jump to the NHL next season its my guess JPs days are numbered in EDM.

Can't see that skinner signing happening, even if he falls off

Skinner bouchard both laugh at those offers. Bouchard won't sign long term this early in his career 2-3 year deal max. I honestly can't wrap my head around those trades. I can't see any possible way they benefit Edmonton. Kinda looks like a slap in Jesse's face on the way out.

Skinner's offer in hindsight is light
Bouchards offer is based on the Adam Pelech contract

You can't wrap your head around dealing Barrie for cap space and a right handed bottom six centre? You also can't wrap your head around EDM trading JPs rights away rather than getting nothing for him when they ultimately decide not to qualify him?

Honestly why would Bouchard want to sign a bridge deal? Players want the security of long term deals

His numbers will regress but ya his contract number should have been closer to Vladars $2.2m / per

Guaranteed Holland bridges Bouchard and McLeod at much lower AAV's and then isn't forced to make terrible trades to fit them in. Then he re-signs them 3 years later with a $92M cap and all the dead money off the books.

Because Dobson is his closest comp.

Simply put in 2-3 years he will easily be entitled to a similar payday nurse got. Can't see him leaving that type of money on the table.

Dobson is a great comp if the intent is to bridge which I hope is not the plan as they will end up with another Nurse overpay

I'd be happy with a 3 year deal. That gives the Oilers breathing room through the McDavid & Draisaitl extensions and gives the team a better idea of what Bouchard will become. Three years also gets them past all dead money too.
