I’m scared to know what you think is a good offer because imo I wouldn’t do that if I was the leafs

It might be bad for both teams, I wouldn't know, but it's definitely bad for Detroit.

Detroit have no need at all for either Järnkrok or Engvall, they're simply unwanted pieces. Knies is unproven and may or may not make the NHL and the pick is two full seasons away and a late first rounder.

Detroit isn't going to trade away a first line player that plays both PP and PK and is the second best point scorer on the team behind Larkin for a return that doesn't make the team better than what it is today.

Any prospect may not make it, Knies is probably NHL-ready or close. Larkin and Bertuzzi both need extensions, if Larkin wants like 9*8, maybe Bertuzzi would want 7mx7 at the least. So, perhaps it would be better for Detroit to trade Bertuzzi for a package like that than to keep him.

Detroit is moving to contention and looking to compete but they are going to want to set up their cap structure around their 1C, Raymond, and Seider and their star goalie just like in TB.

But, Wings have a ton of cap and have enoug to sign Larkin & Bert this year and then next year Seider, Raymond, Ra and maybe Vrana and stil have cap to spare. This is not the Wings of 10 to 15 years ago with no cap and older contracts for players that are past their due date.

Yes, they have the cap but I wouldn't be surprised if Bertuzzi's 7x7 becomes a bad contract past it's due date in 3 years. I'm sure Detroit will have better places to spend the cap, so if they are getting offered Knies and a 2024 1st for him, I don't see why they wouldn't take it. If they aren't getting offered anything good for Bertuzzi, then maybe it's better for them to give him 7x7.

I don't think just because they have cap that Detroit should spend recklessly.
