I’m assuming this is your attempt at humor, because I’m pretty sure the isles wouldn’t trade Bailey and Palmieri for Tavares.

St Louis and the Islanders pass big time.

The rest looks pretty spot on.

You'd have to give the Isles Matthews for them to consider taking back JT

Islanders definitely pass. I think St Louis should accept that if it’s ever offered sure Thomas a very good 1st liner but he’s no Marner and paired with Tarasenko who’s an upcoming UFA (plus he’s very overrated imo) I’d definitely take that if I’m St. Louis.

Personally I think the blues should keep Thomas.

Sure Marner is better offensively but not close defensively as well we would have no first line center ROR may not come back and same with barbashev. Leaving Schenn as our 1c

It’s not viable to trade him imo if it was Kyrou then it make more sense.
Also VT isn’t overrated at all, he’s underrated actually

I'm sure we'll start seeing a flood of new Marner ACGM trades. I'm genuinely curious if there a fit for him anywhere in the league, that man needs to get out of Toronto for his own sanity.

I mean this dude proposed trading John “Pajama Boy” Tavares for Ilya Sorokin and Adam Pelech. If he thinks any of this is remotely fair he must be a ****ing clown. And that might be offensive to clowns.

So you rob the Blues and Isles and hand gift to everyone else? Well... I guess that's one way to achieve balance.

Hahaha what??? Yeah, the Blues, a team piled up with offensive and two-way wingers, should totally trade their cornerstone 1C and top shot driver/leading scorer for a few overpriced years of a pass first winger. You just wait here, we'll get right back to you on that. tears of joy

Tell me you know nothing about Marner without telling me nothing about Marner. He’s actually such a better defensive player than Thomas analytics back it up (plus offensively). The only thing that would hurt the Blues is obviously the lack of centers but Marner would easily be their best player. I do think Kyrou can definitely swap in for Thomas. As for Tarasenko being overrated I still think he’s a a very good 2nd liner that got carried by his linemates.

VT had the most point of any player on the blues last year
That is not getting carried, also in regards to defense Thomas is much better on draws and much better disciplined than Marner. He also blocks more shots

Considering he’s a top 5-7 winger (top 5 the past 2 years for sure) I’d definitely say he’s not overpriced. I think Kyrou can definitely be their center which is why I don’t hate this deal for the blues. Marner would easily be the best player on the team and it wouldn’t be close. Toronto would definitely lose Tarasenko (who’s a 2nd liner getting carried by his linemates) in FA and Marner>> Thomas so that’s why I’d do this trade if I was St Louis.

Lol I wasn’t talking about VT
We all know VT isn’t elite defensively but I will say that I think he’s way to overhated on the defensive side he’s actually about average

First of all, Kyrou is in no way, shape or form a center. The simple fact that you would say that speaks volumes about your knowledge of the Blues. Same goes for this others carrying Tarasenko nonsense - soooo have his linemates been carrying him for all 10 seasons as one of the most consistent wingers in the game? So much knowledge! Dude was fifth in the NHL in 5v5 points per 60 last season.

As for Marner, let's see how elite he is without Matthews around. Either way, he is not so good he's worth 1/8 of your cap space.
