I think Severson to Ottawa makes a lot of sense

Would say that value on POJ would have been fair at the end of camp, but I think the Pens hang on to him for a bit longer to see if he can stick. He has actually looked pretty good to start the season too.

There's no reason to get rid of Zaitsev right now.

A 2023 2nd + Lassi Thomson or Jacob Bernard-Docker is pretty equal to the 2nd + Drew Helleson for Manson.

POJ was offered to all teams and Pittsburgh had rejected trade offers for him as they weren’t ready to move him just yet. I don’t know who said teams didn’t make offers to him but thats pretty wrong.

They are some of the mid level prospects in the organization, I think crookshank fits the islanders more, since hes a hard-working player who isnt afraid to get into other players faces and throwing the body, he prob projects as a bottom 6 player

People in ACGMs will spend plenty of assets to get rid of Zaitsev (when he could just be sent to the AHL) and to get marginal upgrades when the problem is in the coaching

They are just not good at implementing defensive hockey systems at the NHL level. Nobody said that would be easy

Need more than that for POJ. He's been solid and last night was the first time this season we gave up a goal with him and Rutta on the ice together, and POJ wasn't even on D. Really apparent that Dumo is toast so a deal for POJ would have to be one we couldn't refuse.
