I'd agree, but I think if most of these moves happen, they are settling in for a top-3 pick in 2023 as is, and Bedard/Fantilli/Michkov are what they are gunning for, so I don't think they are in an expedited rebuild, it's going to be a rough 4-5 years for the Yotes anyways.


To the OP, I don't see the Ottawa trade happening, Ottawa needs to address their RD, and shipping Zaitsev weakens that, and I don't see them having a need for Kassian either.

The Reilly deal looks good, frees up the penalty for Boston to make another move at the deadline, though I'd see that earlier than the deadline if they need to,

Reilly isn't a cap dump, he's worth a mid round pick

If Bear is practically valueless and requires retention, the recently waived Reilly ain't getting no mid round pick value unless cap comes back. Boston is handicapped to make other moves with Reilly on the team.

Bear requested a trade, Reilly hasn't. They also dont have to move a d-man. Bruins also could move a winger like Smith instead.
