Im gonna over analyze this deal...
Lowry is under contract for the next 3 plus years at a nice AAV for what he does and what he does is something the leafs need. Same can be said for Demelo...a steady RD under a good contract.
Abramov scares me with his contract coming up after next year and him not cracking the NHL as of yet. Plus the old thing about Russian players signing in the K, which the jets have had a rough history with. So his value is pretty low to the jets; Glendening is a bottom 6 guy on an expiring deal...little to no value to the jets; Khudobin is an often-injured overpaid backup that the jets do not need.
So basically, the jets are trading 3 plus years of Lowry and 1 plus years of Demelo for a 1st and 2nd? That's a steal for the leafs IMO
maybe the jets could flip those other pieces into something??
