This only works if Kane pulls a giroux and says he'll only go to Pitt. Pretty farfetched.

poulin is meh, other roster players have little value for chicago since they are rebuilding, only thing worth it for them is the pick and its going to be late, maybe they can retain 50% and flip dumoulin and get more picks, but this offer isnt really amazing

How is it far fetched? Pens are a true contender. Also who wouldn't want to play with Sid

Pitt is an easy playoff team, but that blueline seems pretty weak and goal tending has not been great for them. Can't argue that Kaner and Sid together would be fun watch though.

I’d say the front runners r Buffalo, Pens, NYR and maybe NYI. But it all depends on how good Buffalo is going forward.

Their goaltending had the second best team save% last season and was 5th in goals allowed. Their blueline and goaltending are not an issue. With that said I still don't see that trade as being realistic and it makes the Pens very top heavy.

If the top-six stays healthy and keeps playing the way it has been then there is no need for Kane.

They're a very old team that probably should've started a rebuild already. Kane has been apart of those kinda teams so I bet he sees pit the same way hawks fans see them. Older, slower, nowhere near as good as they once were. Every year they make the playoffs and lose is another year they should've been rebuilding. Plus they don't have the prospects the hawks would want. Yeah the first is ok but other than picks they got nothing that the hawks want

I'd say Buffalo doesn't have a shot. If they were making the playoffs consistently they'd be the front runner but they're still a few years out. Pens are old and adding Kane just gives them more of what they already have. I could see the rangers being the frontrunner no matter how much rangers fans on here hate Kane. Islanders would have to be in a playoff spot which idk if they get there this season. I think the caps have a shot at Kane. Yeah they're older too but Kane playing with the greatest goalscorer ever has to be pretty tempting. There will probably be a random team that nobody sees coming. Like the Panthers or something.

Isles will win games because Sorokin wills them too. They should be in striking distance because of that reason alone.

I don’t c why Buffalo couldn’t make it this year. People who paid attention last year know Comrie is legit. Their defense is solid and they score like crazy.

Who misses then? If Buffalo and NYI both make it in some good teams are gonna miss. Can't see Buffalo beating out Toronto tampa Florida or Boston. I can't see NYI beating out the rangers or Carolina. I can see Pittsburgh or washington falling off at some point even though pit is off to a hot start.

Yeah but the isles r too good to lose to really bad teams. They have a high end backup to ensure that. And I think Sorokin is good enough that he can will the isles to a third place finish in the metro.

One way I could c this playing out

Boston, Toronto, Florida, TBL, Buffalo

Carolina, NYR, NYI

Or

Boston, Toronto, TBL, Buffalo

Carolina, NYR, NYI, Washington

They r way more willing to move guys around under Lambert. Apparently they’ve been having Barzy skate with Nelson and Beauvillier today, which makes me think that Raty could get called up soon.

A very old team on paper. On the ice they dont play like it. Theres a reason we have 18 consecutive playoff appearances. And again how do you know what the pens want and dont want? We dont that's the thing
