Caufield gets more on a 6 year deal. He will bridge for something like that or get a lot more on a 6+ year term. Of course, depends on how he does this year. That offer sheet is interesting. I would need to look at New yorks cap situation moving forward, but I think they would not match this.

fun ideas none the less smile

Yep NYR would have to sign many young guy... K'Andre, Kravtsov, Chytil as 3C, Schneider & Kakko the following year...they would have about 19M free with only 11 sign contract.
7 holes x1M + bridge 3x 3,5M... you would have about 1M left for Laffy

Zero chance of Dvorak getting a 1st round pick, Kevin Allen said that most GMs around the league said you'd be lucky to get a 3rd rounder for him.

Offer sheet's don't start until free agency, So how in the world are you throwing 2023 picks out there when the draft is ahead of free agency? The Alexis Lafreniere offer sheet is 2024 picks not 2023 picks.

And Cole Caufield will be worth more than 6 x 6

With back to back hip surgery, No way is Sean Monahan worth that much. He's only worth 50% of what you're paying him.

Do you not see the 2nd round pick going to Boston with Dvorak? That isn't a 1st for Dvorak. It's a 1st for Dvorak and a 2nd. There is a big different between those 2 scenarios. This trade is more than reasonable.

Duh yes i see Dvorak+2nd round pick for a 1st round pick. Like i said from what Kevin Allen said. GMs around the league have said that Christian Dvorak doesn't have much value.

I try my best to be as objective as possible! And then GM's decide to trade Bjorkstrand for a 3rd and a 4th and decide to give Gubranson an outrageous contract and then everything I thought I knew goes out the window and makes me question everything I have ever said on this site... haha smile Much love to you!

That's because of how tight under the cap teams were during the summer, which explains the Bjorkstrand trade. With teams accruing cap space during the season and the rumoured cap jump, he's definitely worth more at the TDL than he was in the summer.

Dvorak sucks - no interest from Boston (they also don’t have room for a center)
Monahan sucks - he’ll go back to sucking shortly
Lafreniere has kind of sucked to this point - seems like a weird offer sheet. French last name and damn the rest?
That team is nowhere near top 10 in the league.

As Bergeron and Krejci should retire next season... getting a C is really important. I agree a don't particularly like Dvorak but he still have values.
Bost 1st (26OA) for Dvorak+ late 2nd

Goal Caufield would get 3y x 3,5M as a good bridge deal... but I would go for 7-7y x 6M as if he continue to growth that way... he would worth 8M/y after is Bridgedeal.
= Value3yX3,5M + 7yX8M= 6.5M value year for next 9 years.

And read my note above for Laffy OS... unfortunately we can't select the years that they take the pick away... state that these would be for 2024 picks.... and YES we would keep 2023 First as we should be TOP5

Monahan is a long shot, would prefer to sign him 2y x 3M... but he is looking good right now!
