I worry about trading Hartman. I don't like him where he is playing now, but his Caphit is insane and we've got more Cap hell to go.

I don't think there's any chance he actually gets moved. I'm just not his biggest fan and wanted to toss this out there. But I'd imagine he's pretty safe.

If we are looking to trade Hartman, Calgary could be a good fit. Not sure how I feel about Kylington though, he's somewhat more of the same of what we have and we need somebody who is a lot better in their own zone. Tanev or Weegar are better targets IMO but I wouldn't love moving Hartman for either given his cap hit and the year he had last year.

Yeah I'd definitely prefer either of those, but Weegar just extended and Tanev has a full NTC, so I assumed both were unavailable.

I'm pretty lukewarm on the entire proposal to begin with. Just saw a trend in "CGY getting RW" posts and thought I'd try something around Hartman. I doubt Hartman is even available for anything less than a no-brainer return.

Calgary is moving along just fine right now and are not at all interested in downgrading their goaltending. If you want Vladar it will be in the offseason.



I don't mind Hartman, especially at that cap hit. I think he's more suited for a center role than RW though and he's certainly not moving any of our current centers out. I do think he overperformed quite a bit last year though and will come back down to earth now. As for Weegar and Tanev, absolutely not available.

Completely agree. What I was trying to say is that (assuming Hartman returns to form) we need a 1C a lot more than another good RD and given that, we shouldn't settle for anything other than those two if the Flames want Hartman.

I think Minny is actually fine on defensive depth with the breakout of Addison. I wonder if something like a Horvat for Dumba swap could benefit both teams
