also closer to the deadline get kane or something similar idk but don't overpay for him cause he's expiring next year and you don't got the cash to resign him
uh also with the extra cap you could get someone else idk like bottom 6 depth or something
wait hold on isn't klingberg on the block he'd be cheap cause of the 1 year deal also with a sweetener you could add retention too ok word

Yeah, Benson might be a decent piece, but we are taking some cap dump, and 2025 picks are not hugely appealing. I think there will be a better deal out there for Klingberg.

I think the Ducks are declining this one.

Arizona laugh They're not retaining 50% on Chychrun. You need a far better offer than this if you honestly want Chychrun at 50% for the next 3 years.
And that laugh offer for Patrick Kane is nowhere close in the ballpark for a future hall of famer.
And i very seriously doubt that John Klingberg is remotely interested in Edmonton. And you still can't function like a decent team with only a 20 man roster.

He is already on a team friendly deal, one of their retention spots is tied up long term on OEL, and because they don't need to to get the deal done. Plus you are dumping near equal salary back their way for 2/3 years left on chuchyrns deal

You do realize that Chychrun isn't even playing right now, right? He had off-season surgeries that he hasn't yet recovered from (wrist and knee, IIRC) and he hasn't started skating with the team yet.
