Suppose a player were to get traded from team A to team B and team A retained some of that players salary. If team B then places the player on LTIR for cap relief would team A get any cap relief from the retained salary?

I’m pretty sure Team A would not be able to put the salary on LTIR and would affect the cap negatively.
