Zegras' marketability alone puts him in another league than Caufield (Caufield is great, dont get me wrong) but he isnt a top 3 player in this class. On ice its close between Z and Caufield, but the off-ice things like marketability and main stream recognition (Equals more merch sales and in turn more $ in the teams pocket) Z is a better pick than Cole right now. Who knows where itll stand at the end of the year but right now the top 3 is

Hughes
Seider
Zegras

Thats the top 3, Hughes undoubtedly still #1, I would put Seider second (We've seen how highly valued RD are with the Lundkvist deal) then Zegras

With Boldy and Caufield rounding out the top 5 (Id go Caufield 4)

I think Seider/Zegras should be 2a/2b in either order. I think, at the end of the day, it will end up...

yeah seider goes three bc rangers rd is completely set with fox captain trouba and future superstar schnieder + panarin and zegras together would be NASTY

Kakko was a healthy scratch in playoffs and when he did play he put up a paltry 0.25 ppg. I know that kid line had a couple good games in there, but the bar was set low.

The Lafreniere - Chytil - Kakko line was good for a few games, most vs Pens, I think. Certainly a high water mark for them. But fans, myself included, get carried away at times.

Zegras’ marketing is precisely why I have a burning hatred for the media like there are other players I get Zegras has the handles but that’s really all other then that he’s about as normal as normal can be

Zegras is a top 3 player on ice from this class too. If all you think he has is handles I really don’t know what to say that would be constructive

I should’ve added that he’s a good player it’s just like if he’s the only person your gonna mention on highlight reals or s*it like that then yeah I don’t know what to tell you
