WPG would be one of the last teams that needs another LHD. I'd be interested in Frederic though...

I just thought you could move Schmidt on the right and Reilly on the left. I guess I was mistaken.

Schmidt is actually playing on the right side in WPG. There is just a huge log jam on the left side and we still need to make room for our prospects. WPG should have moved Dillon this off season to make some space. Also, has Frederic fallen out of favour in Boston? Seems like an ideal 4th liner.

I get that it's probably a move that could go anywhere but Minnesota is one of the last team's I would expect to trade for Trent Frederic. Full roster and he injured the team's best player of all time last year

I wouldn't mind that Wild trade if it happened for MN, It's also not something I'd go seeking out. A Duhaime/Freddy G/Frederic 4th line would be a pain to play against.

Meh that was last year. The Wild could use another big/physical FWD, they are a small team.

I think you'd certainly get a 5th for Frederic, but I could see it being a little more. GMs still love players with his style.

Studnicka costs less and likely has the same level of play or he can get better than Lorentz. Kivirata isn't special either, Steen/McLaughlin can take that spot for less $. That, Foligno still on the NHL roster and $1.62M in cap space, what's the point of getting rid of Reilly for nothing? It makes the team worse and you lose out value.

Fwiw he was just waived and no one took him so he doesn't have that much trade value. Purely a cap space move I'd wager.

This ACGM is when everyone is available so around December. At that time, teams will have accrued cap space or lost a player to injury and there could be more interest for Reilly. If there isn't, Bruins should keep him because he makes the team better.

To an extent yes, but given that there's what, 13 teams in the league that are already using LTIR help to get under the cap limit, meaning that almost half of the league won't be accruing cap space at all (as a team can't do this when getting LTIR relief). Also, majority of these teams are the contenders that would be the potential interested suitors for a depth player like Reilly.

I will take the chance. He can help the team until everyone is back and take a decision after that. Anyways, Reilly should be kept even when Grzelcyk and McAvoy return.
