Vasy is under the weather

I ran a quick screening of what Coleman, Goodrow, Hagel, and Paul had in common the seasons we traded for them. And one of the top 10ish comps I could find was Balcers. I'm excited to see what he does when healthy.

Shots are a 46 - 22 but it feels like every one of those 22 shots has been high danger. Vasy somehow the best on ice in a 6-3 game.

Point, Kucherov, Hagel, Cirelli, Paul, Colton, Glass.

That leaves two top 9 spots open.
Koepke is probably good enough to be third-best on the third line in the future.
That would leave 1 top 9 spot that needs to be filled internally or with an external vet.
And we cannot rule out Stamkos aging like wine, yet.

Colton refuses to resign and we trade him for 5 7th-round picks. That'll fill the cupboard nicely

Would any of you be opposed to bringing Raddysh back?

Where do you wanna play him? And what's it gonna cost, probs more than the 4th we got for him. I've liked Koepke for the handful of games he got over the handful I saw from Raddysh. But I have no idea how he's doing in Chicago.

He plays on their PP1 and with Toews and Johnson at even strength.

I remember him and Colton were starting to show good chemistry last season, so:
Colton - Paul - Raddysh

And next season, assuming we're without Killorn, we could run:
Stamkos - Cirelli - Raddysh

When Vacouver scored that 3rd goal and Vasy glared at Cirelli I thought for sure the only thing that would save Cirelli is it Stammer scored an empty netter.

So if Cirelli goes missing I'd look at Vasy's kit for the murder weapon.😋

I'm guessing something like a 2nd or 3rd + one of our AHL guys who could play in the NHL for them

Yeah sorry I don't have anything more constructive. He's not my first choice and I don't necessarily want to get rid of Namestnikov either. And I'd rather have a rental than another year in this situation.

I think a RD would be our priority. Our forward core is filled out, plus we're about to get Balcers back.

Does this imply we'll send down Fleury? Unless I'm missing something, we don't have the cap space.

You're not missing anything, Fleury is probably waived. No need to carry 8 defensemen.

I wouldn't be shocked if we waived Balcers instead though.
