In no world does dallas accept that. Add two more of Calgary's first rounders and I still don't think dallas accepts

Considering that doesn’t get you Robertson, you might want to make a package that includes a lot more value. Valimaki hold little if any value at this point, and Coleman is more towards negative value with that contract. Add in Dube and you have yourself a net neutral in value. So, you are pretty much sending Pelletier and a 23 first for Robertson. Quite the easy pass for Dallas.

Robertson is not worth FOUR 1sts + Dube + Coleman + Valimaki. McDavid or Matthews might be, but definitely not Robertson

CGY has no need to pay more. They could simply offer sheet Robertson and send DAL Two 1st’s + a 2nd + a 3rd as compensation instead.

DAL needs to re-sign Robertson or get the best Trade Package they can and this one is decent, definitely not net neutral in value, Dube & Coleman are far more valuable than you seem to know

It's three firsts, not four. Also it's three late firsts. Robertson is elite. Like @evelutions2 said it's barely positive value. I don't think anyone sees it the way you do as there is little value actually going back to dallas besides the first and pelletier. Three late first plus pelletier and all of the players that take up cap space, but don't provide value is not enough for a young point per game player

No way Coleman waives. If he wanted to go to Dallas they had the space 2 years ago for him.

Robertson is simply not going to be traded. We've seen hold outs far worse than this

Calgary literally can't offer sheet him for two 1sts, a 2nd, and a 3rd. Y'all gave up your 3rd round pick for Calle Jarnkrok.

The only realistic offer sheet Calgary could offer would net Dallas Four 1st Round Picks

I consider Pelletier to still be worth a 1st. So 4

You’re under valuing Dube substantially and this season will show you that he’s easily worth a 1st as well. He’s set to have a breakout season, showing what he’s capable of doing by putting up 12 goals/17 points in his last 23 games of last season

Coleman’s value is debatable given his age and size of his contract, but he’s still a valuable player and Stanley Cup Champion.

Valimaki is still worth at least a 3rd

Robertson is a legitimate top 5 player in the league at 5v5 and he unlocks all of Hintz and Pavelski offense at 5v5. And that is before mentioning he is only 23, and still has room to grow. You don’t give up PPG players who make their linemates extremely better at a young age for spare parts. Any package for Robertson means that Dallas loses, regardless of what is involved in said package. As for Calgary, the first piece that even starts the conversation would be someone like Coronato.

For Calgary, the package would have to be something along the lines of Coronato, Wolf, 23 1st rounder, and someone like Kylington for Dallas to even consider moving Robertson.

Wouldn’t be hard for them to trade for a 3rd Round Pick if they wanted to go that route. Could ship Valimaki for a 3rd

I agree he’s good, so DAL should quit screwing around and sign him, but he’s not as valuable as Tkachuk or what you’re proposing here.

You’re either way over valuing Robertson or way under valuing CGY’s Players & Prospects, actually very likely both

Coronato & Wolf are both off the table. We can discuss Pelletier since Robertson would be taking his future position for years to come but it’s a no to the other 2.

DAL already has a young star goalie anyways, so no point in discussing Vladar or DAL wanting/needing Goaltending

Has to be Calgary's 3rd Round Pick. Can't just trade for anybody's 3rd.

So CGY just needs to make a deal with CLB to get that pick back or no!?

In any event my offer is already greater than the equivalent Offer Sheet compensation, it just requires Coleman waiving otherwise it’d have to be another piece instead, maybe Toffoli

laugh laugh Right now you're over the salary cap slick, You can't put 3 healthy players on LTIR just to fit Robertson onto the team. And there's no way in hell Robertson signs for $8,500,000 in high taxed Canada try closer to $9,500,000 if you want Jason Robertson. And that doesn't acquire him any ways. Cold day in hell that Jim Nill accepts that offer.

Not quite enough. It starts with Coronato and Dallas will not want Colemans contract for another 5 years. They are rebuilding.

Coronato is a non-starter and I don’t believe DAL to be in rebuild mode just yet

Calgary would move him for Robertson. Coronato might not sign with us and could re-enter the draft this summer or have his rights traded.

Yeah I understand that concern but I’m wanting Coronato to replace Toffoli and I’d like us to benefit from his ELC years like DAL did with Robertson, so I’m hoping that’s not the case

@HockeyIsMyPassion61 's point about Taxes is somewhat valid, since Taxes are generally higher in Canada for the most part, but not completely. New York, Detroit & Washington have higher Taxes than Alberta and Minnesota and New Jersey are about the same. Texas is definitely one of the lowest Taxed States where Players making around $9.5mil would pay approx. $1mil less in Income Taxes:

Source: https://gavingroup.ca/nhl-tax-calculator/

But yeah, an offer sheet for $8.5mil/yr would have been reasonable, since he ended up signing for $7.75mil. Robertson still pockets more in DAL at $7.75mil than if he were in Calgary making $8.5mil

He signed a 4 year deal for $7,750,000, On a 8 year deal he easily gets between $9,000,000 to $9,500,000 so i'm still correct.
