Best announcer is Brendan Burke

He does tnt and did islanders games and is always great.

Also does the pll which is a bonus

Wholly. One of the worst calls in any sport I've heard in a while. I think women announcers should be calling games to fit the time of their voices instead of copying the cadence of a make announcer. If that makes sense. Like instead of screaming when a goal is scored maybe slow it down, or let the crowd control the excitement and then break it down. Idk.

I think this is a great point for a lot of these new commentators, it seems like too many commentators fall into the trap of trying to copy a certain commentator, instead of calling the game to fit them. It almost seems like people such as Hextall run out of things to say in the pursuit of having a certain style, and it leads to horrible long pauses that just sound awkward for everyone, while more experienced people like Beninati know how to use short pauses in commentary to their advantage and incorporate it into their own style. I'm not sure how most of the hockey world, including myself, would react to this, since the last 30+years nearly every fan has grown accustomed to the great commentating styles of Thorne and/or Emrick, but I think it is at least worth a shot.

It was a sweet goal but come DeBoer let’s pull it back.

The Foligno trade will always bother me of the Dubas trades and I am happy to see Malgin having some success right now but fukc Kyle 😢

Leah just needs to be better, more authentic version of herself. That doesn't need to apply to all women announcers.

She is not a good announcer; regardless of gender. Last year had to put games on mute. I've done that with male announcers in the past too.

I mean it just needs to fit your voice and style of voice. I said women copying men because in most cases women's voices are higher than mens. So you should change your style, I think of someone like RJ, last year his voice wasn't really up and down but he still had some great calls!

Not so bold statement but JEFF SKINNER IS THE WORST FORWARD ON THE BUFFALO SABRES STARTING ROSTER. He is atrocious. Also, whenever Krebs and Cozens play together they are so good, add peterka and that line was easily the best sabres line last night! @csick @alfie11 @yikes you guys agree?

With Matheson out 8 weeks, I can't see MTL playing 4/6 rookie D

Edmundson's injury is still mysterious (just like last year), but if he's projected to miss a couple of weeks, I would understand Hughes if he gets any veteran D as a placeholder to avoid exposing his rookie D if they have hard time

So to the least, watch MTL on the waiver wire

Bunting, out, Kane in.
At 3mil
Is that how it's gonna work?

I think Toronto would probably move futures, losing Bunting just creates a potential problem. But it’s a way to complicated trade tree to predict (obviously 3 parties) if it were to happen.

Torontos the fun guess but I would put Minnesota and EDM as my personal landing spots. Maybe the Av’s too, but if you’re EDM and you can swing;

Kane - McDavid - Kane
Hyman - Leon - Yamm
Foegele - RNH - Holloway
McLeod - literally whoever - literally whoever

I mean… are you really ever going to kill a EDM power play in the playoffs? I mean their top line feels likes it’s already on a power play w/ Kane squared and McDavid.

Offseasons way to far imo. So much can change. I mean Toronto is a likely UFA destination for him, but Kane’s only being traded to a cup contender at 2.6m retained (5.25+2.625)(few can fit him at 5.2) which will have a massive impact on his next deal. If he went to EDM, TOR, COL, MIN - if he wins a cup with any team it’s likely he’ll sign a cheap deal to try and repeat (ESPECIALLY if it’s Colorado). Kane’s made money - he wants to win a again you can tell. I think you’re close on to the money with a 3m AAV as it’s incredibly low for him but if he’s tryna win it’s going to have to look like that.

I wonder when they will pull the trigger. Got to think if they can get a 3rd team involved before the TDL he could be here by Christmas. As idk will teams wait till the TDL or try for an earlier trade

As if he comes you can push Nylander to the third line to create 3 scoring lines

Cause honestly if he's available and Kyle wants to make a deal with Kyle go for it

Yeah your 3rd line pretty much torched our 3rd line. Our 3rd line was atrocious last night and our 2nd too. So yeah credit to the Sabres. But Anderson stole the show as well as the Sens finishing dying

To cement his legacy as the greatest American born player.
If Kane, which from the outside it seems so, wants to do that; he has to keep up is stellar play, and if he can win more cups how can you argue against him.

Kane’s got 3 rings and already a HOF, American legacy. Imagine if he ends his career still a near elite player and has 4-5 rings?

I have a feeling Kane takes 3.5-5.5mil depending on how things play out.
