Honestly DJ Smith is the biggest question mark. He's finally got a deep forward core, solid goaltending, and at least 4 defensemen that I won't claw my eyes out when they're on the ice. If he starts slow, I wouldn't be shocked to see him out the door. Imagine if we trade for Chychrun and bring in Trotz in November lol

Really good odds on him on Sports Interaction. If it's looking like he is gonna start with McDavid, I'd throw some money down on him now before the odds shorten.

I put some money on Beniers earlier today at +500, and for some reason the odds have changed to +550. I'm considering doubling down on him lol, he's basically guaranteed top line/top PP and has looked the part. Holloway is liable to get demoted to the 3rd line (or lower) at his first cold stretch because the Oilers are trying to win

I still think Holloway's a good gamble to take at +5430. I don't think there's a better mismatch of odds and likelihood of winning if he's starting with McDavid. If they happen to find chemistry, it's over.

Bet365, he’s the 3rd favourite after McTavish (+400) and Power (+500). I really don’t know why Power is considered top 2 tbh, for a D to win the Calder they need to put up like 50+ points, and generally need PP1 to accomplish that. I don’t see him taking PP1 from Dahlin. Beniers is the guy I have as the favourite, although McTavish, Holloway, Rossi (if he plays with Boldy or Kaprizov), and Pinto (if Stutzle doesn’t click with Cat and G I think he could step in there if we shuffle the lines) as a dark horse are interesting as well.

Does Sports Interaction have good prop bets? Bet365 only added lines for individual players to get points in a game at like the end of the year (goals, assists, shots, points, saves is basically it). They didn’t even let you parlay two things from the same game.

Edit: +5430 is nuts for Holloway. He’s +1600 on Bet365. I’d slam a fiver on Holloway with those odds and not think twice lol
