Don't rest on Laroque, he has size shot speed and is defensively solid. I see him as a top 4 guy as early as 24/25 to 25/26.
Fisher will rise up fast once he plays better level of competition for the next 2-3 years, but he was dominate in HS to the point he put up good forward numbers as a D and has size and speed to be a legit NHL-er.. with work.
Merkley should be down to LD at this point, I just don't see a legit top 4 guy in him, poor size and bad D, needs a lot of work on his game this year or he might wind up as a bust.

other than that i think your pretty spot on.

yeah the guys I struggled with the most were laroque who I am very high on, but like have no idea how good he actually is and same with fisher. Merkley I have some faith in with the new cuda staff

Merkley could be a valuable piece but his size and defensive deficiencies I think will haunt him throughout his career, making him at best a #3RD and power play specialist.

Laroque was runner up in the WHL defenseman of the year, had a huge year offensively and was strong defensively but truthfully still needs work there. he has a great shot good vision and plus size at 6'2 200lbs, but still has plus speed. the fact he fell to the 4th round astounds me and he might very well end up the steal of the 21 draft (thank you Dougie Jr.). it's sad he wasn't in the preseason but he was injured, but should be good to go for the WHL season and at 19 could be in line to be the best D in the WHL this year and a Barracuda next year.

Fisher i agree at this point is a question mark, was he great against lower level talent and will shrink against better competition, or will he rise up and be that much better??? only time will truly tell but Doug Jr. was big on him and pushed for him to be drafted like Laroque.
