I’m pretty this idea doesn’t work; they have to be on the roster for 10 games or 30 days before hitting waivers again, if sooner the original team can just reclaim them sending them to the Ahl penalty free.

So avs would have to waive kaut bowers Macdonald etc to accommodate these claims for 30 days while limiting accruing their cap space

Just send them through waivers again soon after and hope the claiming team doesn't reclaim

It really isn’t a big deal. It’s an inconvenience they claimed Jojo but it didn’t affect the avs.

Both goalies are healthy in the nhl and Justus is still getting the starts in the ahl

It's not wise to wait until you're desperate to make a trade, as prices go up... Also, once teams.have their own goalie setups set for the regular season it's harder to find a seller.

Avs made the 6th round pick for Jojo bc they had issues,
They can find someone if they need one later. Was it that difficult to find him? No.

We are talking about a third/fourth goalie before the season starts.
