Dont think Ruhwedel lands you a 4th.
I could see McGinn as a fit for WPG, but it will probably take a bit more to dump that contract.
I also dont see Pettersson getting dealt, especially not to ARI.

Why wouldn’t Ruhwedel get a 4th? He’s already proven himself as a solid defencemen that can play on the PK and be pretty effective. There isn’t too too much need for cap space to trade McGinn as well so there’s not a whole lot of leverage teams can hold over us. And Pettersson was just a throw away honestly. Chychrun is very likely to be traded and there isn’t a lot of anyone that’ll really play in his spot that’s NHL ready for Arizona or anyone that’s good. Pettersson would be a decent fit till more of their guys are ready and they get to eat up more cap space.

I think Ruhwedel maybe gets a 6th. He has definitely been serviceable, but I find it hard to see him pulling a 4th idk.
Clearing McGinn's contract isnt necessary but would be nice. With that being said, just because it isnt necessary doesnt mean a team will lower their asking price on taking a contract back. I still think they would want at least a 2nd and have no reason to accept anything less.
With the Chychrun thing, ARI probably takes a bad contract back. If it is Ottawa for example, I could see Zaitsev going back and he fills that void. They want to be bad so I dont see them dealing for players right now.

There’s been depth defencemen traded for much higher than a 6th of Ruhwedels calibre.
The fact you’d suggest a 2nd to move McGinn is a joke honestly. There’s literally no leverage there for teams to take advantage of. And Zaitsev is a RD. They’d need a LD to fill that void

Listen, the Ruhwedel thing isnt that deep. If he can bring back a 4th Id be super happy. I just dont see it but I would love to be proven wrong.
I am gonna say it again, just because we dont have to make a cap dumping deal doesnt mean a team will take on a bad contract for cheap. If I am WPG, or any other team, and the Pens offer a 3rd to take on McGinn, I would say no. I think you can do a lot better for nearly $3M in cap for 3 years. I would love for it to be the value but I dont think its realistic thats all.
Finally, the Coyotes have 9 dmen on their roster right now + Soderstrom. Even if they trade Chychrun, there are still 9 guys. I am sure theyll fill the void internally and hope to tank this year and worry about paying to aqcuire players later on.

Here’s where you have mistaken yourself. This is a 2023-24 team where A lot of things will be different and be changing in some ways.
I really don’t understand how you’d think Ruhwedel would go for that low of a price when he played in the top 6 and stay in that spot all year and in the playoffs while remaining one of our more healthier defencemen and playing strong defence AND on a low cost contract.
McGinn for one would be under contract for only 2 years and we haven’t seen the type of player he’ll be this year. And it’s a joke to keep saying McGinn would have to cost a 2nd. For $2.75M and not to mention he isn’t like the other cap dumps from this past off-season. The only reason I’d move him is to make room for younger players which really feels like something that’ll end up happening. But what your saying is McGinn is utterly useless and somehow gets paid too much at $2.75M? You have any idea how many guys like him are paid that much at that cap hit?
Arizona doesn’t have 9 defencemen for the team next season. Stop it. You just keep making yourself look bad

Definitely a no on that Dumo contract. The rest seems fine assuming the young guys establish themselves
