I don’t see why either of these teams do this. Pettersson and Kapanen are not good anymore and their contracts aren’t good.

Kapanen is still young and is only 26 but he’s getting paid 3.2M.

POJ is a great young d-man. I don’t see why the Pens would trade him.

The first will be higher firsts. Top 12. 20-21-22-23-24-25-26-27-28-29-30-31-32.

The 3rd won’t be anything special. The trade is basically two high firsts, a third and POJ.

Pettersson is a weirdly played. He’s able to play strong defensively but he wasn’t played all that much. Played in the top 4 and somehow one of our least played D-men. I’m thinking with Petry he’ll get a lot more minutes compared to him and Marino being paired and getting little offensive results. But I think he’ll be getting played on the PK more. He’s not worthy enough of being traded for Chychrun though as he’s older than him and falling out of Arizona’s age range. It doesn’t mean he’s bad. He’s actually a good defencemen. And to remind you he did put up 19 points which isn’t bad for being paired with a defensively minded defencemen.

Kappy had a bad year sure but that doesn’t mean he isn’t good anymore. It’s really a joke to say a player isn’t good anymore because of one bad year. You said yourself Hes young. Plenty of time to bounceback.

Why would the pens do this? Ladd is by far the worst piece in this and brings Chychrun’s value way down. Arizona would be dumb to attach him to any Chychrun trade as they aren’t in need of cap space. The pens don’t even have the cap space to do this trade if they were crazy enough to want to.
