Description

If the Islanders trade for Robertson, he is NOT going to get signed to a long-term deal. Most likely, he will be signed to a short-term deal. This conclusion is based on the Romanov and Dobson signings this past off-season.
Probably 3-year, $15 million deal, becoming an RFA at the end of the deal, then Lou will discuss a long term deal for Robertson (probably somewhere around 7-year, $63 million deal. )

Do you think that if the Islanders go for this deal (which i doubt), do you think i'm giving too much or too little?

You're basing it off of two players that aren't comparables... There's no way he signs for close to that amount, regardless of which team it's with.

Agreed. Romanov isn’t in the same category as either guy, and Dobson is signed for pennies on the dollar cause it must be hard to ask for more than Pelech and Pulock lol.

Robertson wants what Stutzle just got and he’s going to get it. If Dallas won’t pay him, the isles would have to start out by offering Wally, Bellows and Beau + 2 or 3 first round picks. And that’s not even accounting for the fact they have no cap space.

Btw I’m not sure Dallas would even care about beau, they would just have to do that for cap reasons….
