So, to be clear. You think Oliver Kylington is worth a first? Just trying to see if we’re on the same page here

Yes Absolutely!

Kylington's value has only gone up and is considered high after the season he just had. He's also super affordable, under contract for 2 more seasons and can play on either side if the D-Pairing, which would be super appealing to all teams, especially contenders.

TOR has had good success with TJ Brodie, so would be banking on Kylington being his future replacement either after this season or when Brodie's contract expires OR he'd replace one of Jake Muzzin or Mark Giordano who also have 2 years remaining, but could be traded in the off-season as well (Muzzin the one being more likely to be traded than Giordano)

Maybe I guess but I can’t imagine Toronto having much interest. We’ll see what happens though. I think Calgary is one of the most interesting teams right now

SJ would be silly not too imo, he's good and you never know what you'll get with a Draft Pick. I guess that 1st could be pretty high, but I did push it out a few years since I know SJ will want as many Draft Picks & Prospects as they can get over the next couple years. What do you think he's worth!?

SJ could also try going the Offer Sheet Route, but I don't think they have the Cap Space needed to make an offer TOR would pass on, not right now anyways

Just a little house keeping is all. Main Trade is obviously acquiring a better Play Maker and Utility Forward in Kerfoot, who has some pretty nice passing and setup ability

Michael Stone keeps proving he should be in the line-up. He scored a beauty of a one-timer against the Oilers from a rebound coming off the boards. Had to be a 100mph+ shot. He's simply amazing, but with Meloche, who's Better Defensively and on the PK to split time with him and Hanifin being their D-Partner and Guardian, they'd do just fine at 5on5. Flames could always move Tanev up and have the Top-4 play heavy minutes if ever need be too. Defence would be strong and if one goes down, they still have 6

Toronto doesn’t have the cap really to sign him now. A 1st is too high for him, I could see a 2nd.

TOR will simply dump Holl if/when they have too to clear $2mil in Cap Space and they'd play a 21-Man Roster, using the Marlies for Emergency Call-Ups

TOR's Cap Issue is why I did the Trade Proposal. TOR would get a better LD/RD than Sandin and a replacement for Kerfoot for the same Cap Hit as Kerfoot alone. I'd keep Sandin, but we don't have the room for him either, unless we were to move Hanifin in a BlockBuster for a Top-6 Forward, but we'd likely keep Kylington if that were to happen. We could also just hold on to Sandin's rights and let him sit out the season, but not sure that's the best option

The reason why Sandin isn’t signed is because Toronto can’t afford a bottom pairing defensemen for more than 2 mil. If they could they would just sign Sandin now. No point in making this trade

TOR already has 3: Giordano, Benn and Liljegren when he returns. My Proposal is 2 Roster Players for the Cap Hit of 1/Kerfoot. This helps TOR save $1.4-$2mil/yr by simply not signing Sandin and they end up with a More Mature and Better Defensemen and between Jarnkrok and Milano, Kerfoot is effectively replaced

Hawks pass pretty easily. For one, they aren't looking for a 26 year old as it doesn't fit with the timeline of their rebuild. Two, they have too many defensive prospects already in the system, especially on the left side.

I picked CHI since Mackey is from Illinois, but he's an RFA Prospect CHI can either build with OR build up and Trade away for more assets. Mackey would be an upgrade to CHI's Defense. CHI should Trade Jake McCabe & Riley Stillman and go with Connor Mackey instead afaic. Otherwise, no worries, we'll find another Team who needs help at LD instead

It's not that easy to trade McCabe as he lives with his family in Chicago, is from the area, and has a NMC. Hawks have Vlasic they are developing and right now is on the first line with Seth Jones, Stillman is a solid 3rd liner. Both are young and better fit the rebuild, although Stillman likely gets traded as the prospect pool is deeper with talent then Stillman provides.
