Value wise , Thomson shouldn’t be on the table for Tanev. You don’t trade a young potential top 4 RD for a 33 year old with 1 year left on his deal

And Thompson will never be remotely as impactful as Tanev during the Flames window. If Chiarot got a 1st and a prospect I would say Tanev is easily worth Thompson to a competitor

If Formenton resumes his career it means that he'll have been cleared from the investigation, which would mean that his value would be way too high for 1 year dump of a 4.5 AAV D-man. Not to mention Sokolov who is a quality prospect with a question mark. And not to mention the Sens could even pay Zaitsev bonus before trading so he would be a 2.5 1 year dump, and a guy that can even play on a 3rd pairing

If Formenton is guilty, nobody is going to trade for him, he wouldn't be worth anything and will be canceled instead

The price is too high for me on the return, Tanev is good now, but he is slowing down and breaking down with injuries. Doesn;t fit the Sens Window, and Also Calgary isn;t going to move him because he does fit in there window.

I am worried Debrinkcat is going to ask for $10M or more, honestly, if he does well with Stutzle and Giroux and gets another 40-goal season making it 3 of them under at the age of 25 then his comparables are Mcdavid, Drisidal, Mathews level, while Debrinkcat isn't a Center and not as strong physically or defensively as those 3 he would be more than right to demand that AAV.

I am more worried he won’t fit and they will have to trade him for cheap and he will not sign because he didn’t fit and ppl will say he’s nothing without Kane

Or he has a good but not extraordinary season, the Sens can sign him at 8.0 like the others and next year he explodes again when Stutzle enters his 100+ pts peak
