Yeah, I don't know about that. With how Davidson is running things, I would think he'd be happy to get out from under that contract without retaining. Even if Jones was worth that 9,5m, he doesn't fit the timeline for their rebuild at all.

If Jones wanted a trade and Davidson could get something that actually helps the rebuild, sure. But that package doesn't help the team or the rebuild in the least bit AND getting rid of his contract makes hitting the cap floor through the next few years even more difficult. They like jones. He will be fine. His contract will be fine. There is absolutely ZERO want or need to move him from CHI's front office.

That doesn't come close to getting you a top pair RHD.

All I am saying is that when he becomes 33-34, he will not be great. Basically, saying that contract will be among the worst in the league in the end. My Myers remark was an exaggeration
