Description

Reading between the lines in Russo’s recent article on Matt Dumba, I believe it’s a forgone conclusion that this will his last (full or partial) season in a Wild sweater.
I am looking for a young RHD with 2nd pairing upside who also has size and snarl!
I need help with value and team needs, but Maveric Lamoureux is the “type” of defenseman I am looking for. I was hoping he was going to be available in the 2nd round for the Wild which is why I am using him here. Who are others who might fit the bill???
The Wild can retain some salary to make either trade work…

Yea, Jost for Bear might make sense. After Patches injury Jost can fill in at bottom of roster better then Pederson/Dzingel and gives Drury more minutes in AHL vs bottom 6 time in NHL. Sign De Haan after his PTO to play #3LD

Drury is going to play in the NHL, Jost makes no sense. Drury, even now, is not a worse player and he's on a cheaper deal. Leaving an NHL ready player in the minors isn't a good thing.

Basically all of the big, two way D were drafted by rebuilding teams this year, so you’re not likely to get that kind of player for dumba. Chicago, Anaheim and Arizona all cornered that market

No way Minnesota can afford to keep that kind of salary retention. That will absolutely sewer their cap for the foreseeable future!
