I feel like centering Nuke/Landy is like having training wheels. Landy can take most of the tough faceoffs, both guys can shelter Newhook defensively. Really like these lines.

I’m interested to see where Byram plays in the lineup. He’s such an X-factor. I wouldn’t be surprised if he sees a lot of ice time with Makar even.

Yeah, I'd prefer to see him at 3C since he's so much better defensively than JTC

It'll be interesting to see how Bednar manages TOI for the Dmen. In the playoffs it was easy to give Byram a tonne of 5v5 minutes, but with Girard healthy again someone has to get reduced PP2 time and less 5v5 minutes.

I'd hazard a guess that they try to use Byram as a workhorse defensively at 5v5 and PK, and keep Girard on PP2 with Toews.

Byram has performance bonuses so keeping him off PP2 could limit some damage from bonus overages.

Yeah, definitely helps put Newhook in a position to succeed.

It might be a while before we see this though.
