Description

Who says no?

Hague vs Sandin are a 1 for 1 swap basically.

Whitecloud is a big RD signed to a very good long term deal. Vegas get an upgrade at forward (I think Kerfoot fits nicely on their team). A replacement right D and a 2nd round pick.

Leafs shed a bit of cap. Vegas fills a hole they have and get a useful pick.

Thoughts?

I am a Leafs fan btw.

Vegas says no pretty easily actually, you could argue that the Leafs could be getting the two best players in the deal.

Whitecloud as the most value piece in the trade
Sandin and Hague tied for value
2nd rounder/Kerfoot
Holl

Vegas has a nice Kerfoot sized hole on their roster right now. But I can see why they don't do this.

I think VGK says no. Whitecloud is a steal on his contract, Hague fits how VGK wants to play more, and Kerfoot doesn’t fit at all with how VGK wants to play with physical forechecking forwards. It isn’t awful but being a COL fan I’d much rather face a VGK team after this trade than a VGK team without this trade.

It’s actually kind of Funny, Kerfoot is exactly that, A physical forechecker but he is so small that his physicality is somewhat reduced but his play style fits VGK, If he was 6’1-6’3 he’d be a 5 mil guy imo

He’s fearless and he forechecks but the dude is the antithesis of physical because he is so light, have watched him since he came into the league love his heart and you aren’t wrong about if he were bigger but he isn’t.

Answer is easy. Vegas had 49/50 contracts for the year without Hague signed and you are adding 3 roster players to their team. Not possible

that's actually a great point. I did not know that. So Vegas would throw in an ECHL level contract to make this work then.
