-I don't think teams are going to be lining up to take Foegele's deal, but i also don't think you need to sacrifice Puljujarvi *and* trade out of the 2024 1st rounder to get him off your cap. At the very least, you can do next summer what Minnesota did to shed Dmitry Kulikov this summer, and get a team with space to just take him for nothing.

-Vegas, hilariously, is literally already over the cap for 2023-24 with their current contract situation. I would be very surprised if they traded McNabb ($2.875M) for Barrie ($4.5M) without more cap going out. I think the package is acceptable, sure, but logistically I can't see the Knights having the room to do this as of now.

-Minnesota runs away with this deal before you can change your mind. Foligno is a fine player, and I know you're looking for more sandpaper with these deals, but he's literally a 35-40 point guy. His offensive spike the past two seasons is built on the back of an insane 24.6% shooting percentage that is, obviously, due for some regression. Giving up a 1st by itself is a lot, and throwing in one of your better prospects is just overkill. The Wild thank you for your service.

-There are probably a dozen AHL-level guys like O'Brien that you can sign for free and keep the pick if you want a face-puncher. Cody McLeod, Rich Clune, and Zac Rinaldo are all guys with NHL experience you could get for nothing. Bad type of player to spend a pick on, IMO.

Trading away guys like Puljujarvi, Foegele and Samorukov when you're trying to get "harder to play against" is completely illogical.

Yeah, even looking through the lens of an Anaheim fan, the picks in that deal are unnecessary. At worst Foegele is reported to take a 3rd to move, at worst Pulljujarvi's value is a third. Worst case scenario, both of them for FC is a deal, no need to add.

Trust me Minnesota wouldn't. A 1st alone wouldn't get Marcus foligno. Not that he's available. A prospect doesn't matter. Minnesota wouldn't add here.

Hilarious that Minnesota fans think their 31 year old perennial 25 point 4th liner is worth more than a 1st and a high end prospect.

Bourgault is a 1st rounder from last year that put up video game numbers in the Q(nearly 2 points per game!), and OP is throwing in a 2023 1st - you know, the draft that most evaluators are calling one of the deepest in a long time? Foligno is a fine player, and I know he's an important part of team leadership, but if a team is offering you a top tier prospect & a 2023 1st for him, you move him out. He's a 31 year old, 25-30 point player being carried by completely unsustainable numbers - if someone is going to pay that kind of package at the height of his value, you'd be silly to pass on it.

You clearly don't know who Marcus foligno is to wild. They aren't moving him short of a top 4 C. So no, a 1st, late at that and prospect isn't getting down. You have zero idea who Marcus foligno is to kaprizov either or Guerin or dean Evason. Marcus foligno is the heart beat of the team and wild aren't moving him short of overpayment

I'm well aware of how he fits into the team and what his game is, but I'm also aware of the fact that he is a highly physical forward on the wrong side of 30, and his contract is up after next season - and, again, is probably at the height of his value. He's a 25-30 point player riding incredible shooting numbers to look like a 20 goal guy - regardless of how important you claim he is to the team, a 2023 1st rounder and a top-6 forward prospect is an incredible offer for a guy like this.

I totally get loving a guy like this, and how you never want to move your "heart and soul" players, but saying the Wild aren't moving him short of an overpayment when OP has Edmonton offering a 2023 1st (so you'd have a pair of 1sts in an incredibly deep draft) and a player drafted in the 1st round last year who is projected as a top-6 player is ridiculous. You're basically asking for a bigger package for Foligno than what the Wild got for Fiala, you realize that right?

Dude Guerin turned down a 1st round pick and more for foligno before. Get out of here with this bs . Guerin resign player's he loves and Marcus foligno will be resigned. Our 2nd / 3rd line also isn't getting broken up. It's laughable you think our gm gives a damn about anything you are mentioning. Again deal with it. Foligno isn't available. Not going anywhere short of overpayment,, that has always been the comment because he's not getting traded. Wild aren't rebuilding. Their 1c is Rossi,

You might want to go over all foligno trade made by others and see what the comment is. Short of overpayment, he's not getting traded. Simply, it's not worth it for the other team. Foligno will not go anywhere as long Zuccarello, kaprizov, Jordan greenway, Eriksson Ek, and Hartman are here. He's also here to protect our prized superstar . Guerin never valued fiala which is why he was moved
