Dumping Lucic os poor asset management at this point. Calgary needs nearly his entire cap hit to go towards Huberdeau next year. Flames will accrue cap space all season too and they are one of the few playoff teams that can. So they are far better off just keeping as is for now then go big fish hunting at the deadline. If we really do want more cap space before the season one (or both) of Valimaki and Kylington should be traded instead.

Doubt the blues weaken their forwards to address Scandella. We will just play perunovich on the bottom pair instead. Honestly the Scandella injury might be a blessing in disguise for the blues
