Description

Bruce told the media he wanted to roll out the lines at camp the way he saw them starting the season. Solid top 3 lines, and what should be a very competent 4th line.

So is Hoglander the trade bait to improve the D? I don't like a straight trade for Bear, but maybe if CAR includes a pick coming back? I really hope they don't think DeKeyser is a top 4 option on D.

You're right; he's more than proven he's a solid NHL'er. Which makes me think he's the carrot they're dangling for a Dman if Bruce still doesn't have him in the starting lineup.

Are both Dermott and Poolman injured? One or the other would take the DeKeyser spot for sure. But yeah, unless Pearson can somehow be traded, there's not much room for Nils if Kuzmenko and Podkolzin play better

Definitely Dermott over him on the left side IMO. But it does make me wonder if they're just using DeKeyser as a place-holder there until they can pull off a deal for someone better in that 2LD spot.
