Adam Ruzicka a signé un contrat de 2 ans d'une valeur de 1 525 000 $ avec les Flames de Calgary, le 21 sept. 2022. Le contrat comporte un cap hit de 762 500 $.
No idea why a league min contract took this long for both sides. CGY must have strong-armed him into submission and said you're playing for league min the next two years, like it or not.
I am surprised Ruszika not only accepted league min, but accepted it for two years. I'd rather him than a lot of fourth liners.
Agreed, I thought he could get something around $1 mil and challenge for a 3rd line role. With the Milano, Eakin PTOs and Pelletier in the mix it will be a tough road; but that means the Flames' 4th line could be a real impactful group both in physicality and ability to score with Lucic-Rooney-Ruzicka and maybe Eakin as well.
Good point. I thought he would still be waiver-exempt this season. I can never keep track of those rules.
All Good. It's hard. Even Treliving & CapFriendly can't either. I remember there being some remembrance and enlightenment that Valimaki and/or Mackey were both still Waivers Exempt last Season, so they got changed here on CapFriendly, but they aren't this year

I wonder if Välimäki is waiwed would someone take a chance on him... Guessing the 2M salary works as a deterrant, but I feel he has upside. Suter just hates him for some reason. He sure aint no Gudbranson....

Absolutely, he'd get claimed quickly. He's a Victim of Time & Circumstances. I don't think CGY will waive him. I see a Trade prior to the beginning or the season or when Kylington &/or Tanev returns if they miss the start of the season (not likely). CGY could also keep him as a Scratch instead of waiving him, could Scratch 2-3 D-Men if they wanted too actually. Their AHL Team being in CGY is very useful now with easy access to emergency call ups
