Things to Takeaway from season
-Lukas Dostal is ready to be in the NHL most likekly as a tandem goalie to start. John Gibson becomes expendable
- Mason McTavish is a better then expected as his overall 2way game + his size and physicality look to be a 2nd coming of Getzlaf but with better goal scoring abilities
- Nils Hoglander is a solid 2nd line scorer just needed to have a change of scenery
- Urho Vaakanainen is a solid shutdown dman who will be a bigger part then imagined for their D cores future
- Jacob Perrault is ready to play full time in the NHL for the 23-24 season and should be able to score 20+ his first full season

Clearly you missed the fact that they have Kaprizov, Boldy, Foligno, Greenway, Duhaime and Zuccs riding the wings, Minny needs a C, not to overpay for an inconsistent winger.

well that trade right there is about the value it would cost a PO team to acquire Klingberg. clearly van is in win now mode with that miller signing and they are in desperate need of an actual top 4 RHD.

the pick is top 8 protected aswell which is a pretty safe bet for Van.

even then greenway is a very replaceable player

They still have no Centers, that's their main depth issue, trading for a winger doesn't make sense.

Even if Rossi is ready to play, Jost is awful, Gaudreau had one good season.

and for a team in 3 years of cap hell, why would you shift out picks for an expiring contract, who, you assume is doing better thus warranting a raise?

They need ELC's to fill the roster for the next 3 years.

Doesn't matter, Klingberg is not good defensively and is on a heavy regress, if we're trading our first itll be for a young guy to play with Hughes

When the GREEF line (Greener - JEE - Foligno) was toghether last year, they allowed less than 10 goals against at 5v5. He's not getting replaced and he was most certainly better than Comtois last year

Steel, Jost or Gaudreau will take that spot with what will likely be a line of Boldy and Rossi and whoever else.

Then, in 23-24, the Wild have guys like Beckman, Ohgren and even Yurov to watch out for.

Comtois is completely unnecessary. Especially at that price
