his failures with NYR had more to do with Sheskertin than they did with him!
Georgiev is a rhythm netminder and guy like him need consistent playing time to be successful!

Demko is a top 5 goalie easy.

For now, this can go with all the astute and not at all over-the-top comments that guaranteed the Avs couldn't win a Cup with Kuemper because he wasn't a "big game" goalie. Fact is, we won't know how Georgiev is really doing until at least the 20 game mark - it took Kuemper that long to adjust to playing with the Avs. The Avs FO is very analytics driven and obviously saw something they believed they could work with at a price they could afford given that they don't like paying goalies big money. It has everything to do with organizational philosophy and how the team is built and plays the game. It will be interesting to see how it works but proclaiming that this approach is already a failure is more than a little premature.

#5 is a tough one, Oettinger maybe but that's a small sample size, he definitely looks legit though. I'm a Jets fan but Helle doesn't rank top 5 for me, somewhere in the 6-10 range.

I’m not saying this tandem is the answer but Francouz won 2 series in the playoffs and went 6-0. They have the best d corp in the league and Georgiev isn’t going to start 55 games. @coga16 is right, the Avs aren’t looking for elite goaltending heck they aren’t even looking for top 10 goal tending, but I do think they get league average goal tending at the minimum and with their team that makes them the best team in the west. But that’s my 2 cents

Kuemper at times looked lost out there even before the injuries

Francouz also looked alright not really a guy to take you to the finals in a full 3 round set

So then that leaves Georgiev who is probs the guy they hope reaches his potential

But either way they might have set the new narrative for what needs to be done.

How is Hellebuyck below Demko? Hellebuyck has a significantly better GSAx than Demko in each of the past 3 seasons
